Take the Poll: Disseminating the LDS Church Handbook of Instructions

  1. As BiV mentioned, the handbooks are supplimented and updated from time to time with letters from the First Presidency. When the 2006 handbook came out, I believe there were almost 100 modifications to the 1998 handbook. (Our stake president's collection filled a 3" binder.)

    If the CHI were on the church website it could be amended online with strikeouts and additions (using standard markup language) to indicate where policy had changed. Maybe even a change log.

    To me, the bottom line is that the more things we hide, the more we look like we have to hide. (I think that about the temple, too, by the way.)
