I think if meat-eating were a "necessity" nothing would be an issue... Not the human health aspect, nor the environment... or even the poor creatures that are consumed. But clearly, eating meat is not a "need" - And to avoid doing so is not only better for your body, better for the planet... but is also compassionate. We are doing exactly as we were taught: to be kind to every being. It seems like a "win/win" all the way around! :)
Bloggers Dr. B. and Bored in Vernal debate Mormon issues here on "He Said/She Said." Dr. B. comes from a very conservative standpoint--Ezra Taft Benson and Boyd K. Packer are his heroes! BiV has liberal, feminist, pacifist sympathies. We'd love for you to leave us some comments and join in the conversation!
